Trade Unionists are selfish and greedy people.
The trade unions own the Labour party! It was Labour that destroyed the UK economy and put us all in a mess.
Yet the trade unions members (those that are taking industrial action) are too selfish to suffer the consequences of Labour’s incompetence in government!
They want more money and bigger pensions when the country cannot afford to pay them.
Perhaps we should link people’s pensions and pay to the way that they vote at a general election!!

New Labour – a bunch of losers!
Posted by michael on June 11, 2010
There can no longer be any doubt that the New Labour government of Brown and Blair has been the worst government that the UK has had in modern times.
Governments are supposed to serve the people, but New Labour do not seem to have considered the needs of the people at all!!
How could any minister sanction spending sprees at the end of their term in government when they knew how bad the debt situation was.
I would like to see an investigation into what happened in the last few months of the New Labour government. One reason why this is necessary is that several of these Labour ministers are trying to elected as the new Labour leader. We should know now whether they are fit and competent people to potentially be in government again!

How did New Labour fool so many people on their ‘economic prudence’
Posted by michael on May 17, 2010
We are beginning to get the true state of the UK economy revealed to us. What is being revealed in the public domain shows that the Labour government have been misleading us on the true state of the UK economy.
Can anybody really now doubt that Gordon Brown has been the worst Prime Minister that the UK has had in modern times? Yet Gordon Brown has a reputation for ‘economic prudence’ and competence as the chancellor and then the unelected Prime Minister.
How did he manage to fool so many people for so long? The awful financial state of the UK economy did not happen overnight or suddenly occur in the last few months!
During the election campaign New Labour and Brown campaigned on the basis of Brown’s prudence and reputation in managing the economy!!!
Nearly all of us are going to go through difficult times with our finances and with cuts in services because of the lousy New Labour government that we have had for the last 14 years!

Nearly time to vote!
Posted by michael on May 5, 2010
It has been an interesting pre-election period.
I think that the Gordon Brown and New labour campaigning has been quite shameful and cynical.
The insistence of campaigning by scare tactics intended to worry the vulnerable and the elderly will be how history records the New Labour campaign.
There has been a lot of this negative campaigning from New Labour. Even Gordon Brown has been telling people what the Conservatives are going to do rather than being focused on what New Labour propose!
The Libdems have participated in the campaign much more than normal. There is still the risk that they will be squeezed out by the two main parties, except possibly in marginal seats where tactical voting would seem to be going to take place! It would be good if they replaced New Labour forever as the second party in the UK.
I believe that the UK is in a critical point in its history. The UK is so seriously in debt that we have to get this under control very fast. It is not just the published debt figures. Most of the new schools and hospitals have been built on debt that is accumulated in the Private Finance Initiate (PFI). The PFI debt includes a lot of debt from various sources and is not included in the UK official debt figures.
New Labour took the Golden Inheritance from the last Conservative government and turned it into a recession with the UK so saddled with debts that we will all be paying back the debts for many years to come.
We will all be taxed very heavily to screw more money out of us. We will all have to pay higher prices for everything we buy, including electricity and gas!
The UK is at risk of going the same way as Greece, with our debt getting junk status.
New Labour, that mostly means Gordon Brown, has caused the banking crisis (Brown took away controls on the banks which led to the credit crunch and recession) and has brought the UK to the brink of bankruptcy.
I haven’t even mentioned the wars in Iran and Afghanistan which we should not be involved in!
Labour have failed us, they do not deserve to be in power again.

People do not like the financial mess Labour landed us in
Posted by michael on May 2, 2010
Gordon Brown appears to be finding out on the doorstep that people do not like the financial mess that he and New Labour have landed us in.
And all of the Labour supporters who voted for Labour should be feeling very guilty about the economic mess that the people they voted for landed us in.
If you voted for Labour just don’t complain about the extra taxes you will have to pay over the years and the increased prices for everything you want to buy and the necessary cuts in public services that have to take place!

Brown – I paid a big price for my ‘bigot’ comment
Posted by michael on May 1, 2010
No Mr. Brown, You have not paid a big price for your ‘bigot’ comment.
You have paid a big price for taking the ‘Golden Inheritance’ from the last Conservative government and turning this pot of gold into the most massive debt that all of us in the UK will now have to suffer for years to pay back.
I do not understand how you even think that you have a chance of getting re-elected when you have caused such an economic meltdown of the UK finances.
You are almost the last person in the world who can claim to be capable of sorting out the mess which you caused in the first place!!
We have huge debt levels as a result of your financial policies. Our debt risks becoming junk which will cost us all even more of our money.
And your campaign for the election is based on increasing our debts even more because you don’t feel that you should start to reduce UK debts for the next year. Which will cost us all more money and increased debt.

The Bank of England Governor Mervyn King is absolutely right
Posted by michael on April 30, 2010
The Bank of England Governor Mervyn King is absolutely right. The UK financial mess is huge.
Labour have cynically hidden the true state of the UK’s finances from us during the election campaign.
They are desperate to get back into power so that they can keep the pretence going that that Labour are capable of running the UK economy!
But the huge financial mess that we are in is the best reason of all to dump this lousy government and replace it with a Conservative government.
I would then like to see Cameron going public with the full state of the UK finances. Then we would all know how big the problem (challenge) is for Cameron to deal with.

Brown’s claims to have created many jobs in the UK
Posted by michael on April 28, 2010
I still fail to understand how Brown can claim the credit for creating many thousands of new jobs and allowing nearly all of them to be taken by people from outside the UK.
Doesn’t Brown understand that UK citizens need those jobs. If non UK citizens take the jobs then most of the earnings go back to their home country to benefit their government!
This was effectively an investment in a foreign government, not a policy to help the UK.

Brown wants us to concentrate on policy!
Posted by michael on April 26, 2010
So Gordon Brown wants us to concentrate on policy does he?
Does Brown have any policies? All he does at the moment is to tell us to ignore the complete mess of the UK economy and to vote for him because he can fix it.
This is not a strong argument!
If Brown and New Labour could fix the financial problems then why are they not doing this now!
Brown and New Labour caused the credit crunch and all the resulting financial mess.

Labour – scaremongering because they have no policies
Posted by michael on April 19, 2010
Much of the Labour campaigning shows a complete contempt for the voter’s intelligence!!
Brown is continually repeating the mantra about only he can stop a ‘double-dip recession’. Even though Brown caused the recession in the first place, most of the experts are saying that the UK will avoid a double-dip recession. But that doesn’t stop Labour leaders accusing the Conservatives of risking a double-dip!
Any politician who spends their time continually scaremongering against other parties are proving to the world that they have nothing of any value to say!
Brown says ‘scratch below the surface and you get the same old Tory party’. We don’t even need to scratch the surface of the Labour party and we know that we are getting the same old Labour party that put the UK into recession, destroyed our pensions, spent a fortune on schools and hospitals that seem little better, and put us into such deep debt that we have to pay heavy taxes for the next 20 years!!
Thanks Gordon!!!
