Stopping RBS banker bonuses

Posted by michael on November 12, 2011

Of course Cameron has to try to stop these abusive banks preying on their customers for the benefit of the bank bosses!!

But it isn’t easy to do.

I had to laugh at the idea of milliband painting himself as ‘the champion of the 99% who don’t get bonuses’!!! This whole greed of massive bonuses and massive salaries and pensions originated from the Blair/Brown governments.

Just look at the Trade Union officials and their pay and bonuses – hardly representing the working class! In fact the working class has been just that under Labour who have acted as most Socialist governments in the world have done – the rich (themselves) get richer and the poor get poorer!

Milliband can say whatever he wants – I see him as a caretaker Labour leader. When the next election is approaching then I expect him to be dumped and be replaced.

Some people are attacking the current government over the UK economy

Posted by michael on October 16, 2011

Some people are attacking the current government over the UK economy. They tend not to mention at all the huge mess that 14 years of Labour has caused the UK.

The trade unions are complaining about the UK economy. Strange that – they obviously expect people not to know the the Trade Unions own the Labour party and are therefore themselves responsible for the awful state of our economy!

Labour even took over with the ‘golden inheritance’ and Labour still spent all the money and left the UK population with massive debts to pay off!

Do people expect the current government to continue to spend money as the last lot did?

I am not well off! Should I keep borrowing and to hell with the consequences?

Should I cheat and steal from people who have got the things that I want? Should I try to con someone else out of their possessions?

Of course some people in the UK are well off. Best of luck to them. I hope they choose to spend their wealth to help others. But it would be wrong to make them do this!

Many people in the UK are suffering because of the actions of the last government. I just hope that we don’t go the way of Greece!!!

Energy companies ‘rip off’ pricing

Posted by michael on October 14, 2011

It looks like the energy companies have caught the ‘bankers’ virus! I think that that these beasts should be ‘put down’ and a new structure should take its place.

Some of the energy companies practices are appalling.

The poorest and weakest in our society pay the highest prices for electricity and gas, despite the fact that this group includes many sick, elderly and vulnerable people.

In my view the only reason for electricity meters is to protect the energy companies from unpaid bills. But those people who need energy the most just to survive a cold winter, should not be paying the highest  price.

The result is that they simply cannot afford to keep warm.

Check that your  elderly relatives can afford to keep warm in a cold winter!!

UK consumers need to spend to encourage growth

Posted by michael on October 5, 2011

People will have more money available by reducing the burden of debt. But I agree that it won’t be in the short term.

It all very well needing people to spend more to help the economy, but the banks will just keep increasing interest rates to benefit themselves!

There still won’t be much money for households to spend more!!

The best thing for the economy is for the banks to reduce interest rates! But there is no way that they will because they only care about their profits! Banks have become parasites on the consumers of our nation!

What is the BBC REALLY up to?

Posted by michael on September 25, 2011

We really do need an inquiry into how much licence payers money is going into social engineering by the BBC.

They are in a position to influence many aspects of our society and they are making political and social changes that they believe in.

I don’t agree with many things that they have done recently with my, and others, licence fees. They should be forced to ask permission from the public before making changes. This could be done using polls.

I am not sure that I can actually trust their news broadcasts now!

How many items are being reported with a slant that suits the BBC or not broadcasted because they did not agree with what was to be broadcast?

Milliband – Credible Labour party leader

Posted by michael on September 24, 2011

It would have been a lot better for us all if the last Labour government, which Milliband was a member of, had shown competence and ability in managing the UK economy!!!!

But they didn’t and we are all in a very difficult mess now, which can only become worse as time goes on!

Milliband has made the credibility of his leadership of the Labour party worse by bringing in many of the last failed government as shadow ministers.

Who can believe that they could succeed in the future when they have such a track record of failure already!

The trade unions and Labour.

Posted by michael on September 13, 2011

It looks like Milliband is finally acknowledging the tremendous done to the UK economy by the 14 years of the last Labour government!

Milliband is right. We cannot afford pay increases and new hospitals and schools etc.

I think that it is shameful that the trade unions are calling for strikes and militant activity in order to get more money for themselves! It was Labour, who are OWNED by the trade unions, who messed up our country.

If the trade unions want fairness then everyone who voted Labour in the last election should have a pay cut!!!

Police officers being given desk jobs!!!

Posted by michael on September 5, 2011

I never understood why the Labour government took 15,000 trained and qualified police off the work of policing our streets and giving them desk jobs!

They seemed to then employ more people to become police and spent loads of our money training them.

Surely it would seem to have been more sensible to have left the trained police doing their job, which is policing, and trained the newcomers to be admin staff.

It would certainly have been cheaper!!!

But I never understood why Labour did much of what they did. I thought that their policies were mostly rubbish then, and since Labour were chucked out of power it has become obvious that I was right!!

I would guess that this is why Cameron can claim to be able to reduce police staffing and still have more police on the streets (and hopefully fewer trained police in admin roles!).

Pensions

Posted by michael on August 1, 2011

Those people who are due to retire are beginning to realize that the pensions that they have paid for over the years are not going to be enough to live on!

I just hope that they remember why our pensions are going to be so poor for years to come.

Gordon Brown and Labour introduced a tax on pensions which has significantly reduced the values of our pensions.

Why did he do this? Was it just a deliberate political attack on the middle classes?

But he knew what he was doing and he knew the consequences for peoples pensions! People are beginning to realize now that they are going to have problems when they retire. Many will have to work for longer.

The damage that Labour did to our economy will have ramifications for all of us for years to come!

Labour are looking for ‘new’ policies

Posted by michael on July 4, 2011

Ed Milliband is apparently wondering where Labour go from here!

It is clear from events over the last 40 years that Labour stands for one thing only. That is the desire/need to spend all the UK’s money and to tax us all significantly more simply because Labour needs to keep spending!

This urge to SPEND is at the heart of Labour. Just look at history!

Either the IMF come in to fix the economy following a Labour government OR the Conservatives have to sort out the UK economy which a subsequent Labour government simply bankrupts again!

People might not mind this inbuilt desire for Labour to bankrupt us every time they are in power IF we got some long term benefits from it. But we don’t!!

In fact we are nearly always left far worse off financially following a Labour government!

Note to Ed Milliband:  The problem that you have is that Labour almost bankrupted the UK last time in power and it will be difficult to exceed this achievement when you next get into power.

But I am sure that the next Labour government will find a way!!!
