Socialist governments always fail!

Posted by michael on May 7, 2012

Socialist governments are like lemmings – they are only capable of spending other peoples money and it always runs out leaving the people of the country in dire financial straits.

We had 14 years of Labour that ruined the economy of the UK  but memories are so short that mostly the same Labour shadow cabinet that almost bankrupted the UK economy is now seen as capable of making everything OK again.

Why?? It doesn’t make any sense! The last Conservative government before Blair and the ruinous 14 years of Labour, worked wonders with the UK economy.

Blair came into power with the ‘Golden Inheritance’ from the Conservatives and kept the same economic policies as the Conservatives had for nearly 5 years.

Why? Because they worked!! Then their socialist instincts took over and they started their ruinous spending spree and when they ran out of cash they started to borrow.

That is why the UK economy is in the appalling state that it is!

The Conservatives are getting attacked because they have the task of cleaning up Labour’s mess. People may not like some of the actions that they have taken but that is no reason to go back to having Labour in power. We know that they will fail. We know that they will sign us up into the Euro.

The UK has a fair chance of ending up in a serious recession just because of the appalling way in which Labour ran our economy for many years. To bring Labour back into power would, in my view, guarantee the UK going into recession.

We might not be well off as a country now but if we end up with an economy being controlled by the IMF then people really will suffer. Just look at what Greece and Ireland are going through!!!

It is a fallacy to believe that ‘soaking the rich’ would make any real difference at all. Again a consequence of 14 years of a Labour government, the rich are able to move money abroad, be paid abroad and manipulate their finances to legally minimize tax.

These financial dealings that benefit the rich have gone too far! People do object strongly to what is simply legal tax avoidance. It is not right that the rich can benefit in this way. There have always been ways for companies and the rich to minimize tax. But this ‘legal’ tax avoidance has gone too far. But, again, the huge increase in people avoiding tax legally, is a consequence of the 14 years of Labour in power!

It didn’t become a problem just because the Conservatives became the government!

I would like to see all the cabinet and the shadow cabinet come clean about any tax avoidance schemes that they are using to minimize their tax payments to the UK.

I would like to see the Trade Union bosses doing the same. After all they ‘own’ the Labour government and have given themselves massive pay rises recently and various benefits. They strongly influence UK politics and it would be interesting to see how much of their members donations are spent on perks and  politics.

Bank of England governor should have shouted warnings

Posted by michael on May 3, 2012

The Bank of England governor says that they should have done more to prevent the economic policies of the last Labour government from bring the UK economy to its knees!

Unfortunately we also had an economic illiterate  government which appeared to have little understanding of how to run a country.

How any government could believed that simply spending money and incurring such massive debts was actually a credible economic policy is beyond me.

Labour must have had so many warnings from the civil servants and the government advisers and completely ignored them all.

In my view their actions bordered on criminal negligence!

Yet the majority of the labour ministers are now in the shadow cabinet and are actively campaigning against the economic measures required to sort out the mess the UK economy is in.

Does Labour like the idea that most people in the UK are suffering from the economic policies required to sort out their mess? Or are they so controlled by the unions, who after all own the Labour party, that they are not allowed to approve of financial policies that are designed to fix the UK economy abut but would reduce the standards of living for the union members?

Milliband and Prime Minister’s question time

Posted by michael on April 25, 2012

Another pathetic performance by Milliband! I don’t believe that any opposition leader has ever had such an open goal to aim at with the state of our economy!

Yet Milliband is unable to capitalize on it.

The real problem that Milliband has is that Labour actually caused the financial problems that the UK is suffering from!!

So everytime Milliband, or any Labour MP, stands up to loudly criticize Cameron and the Conservatives, they are actually criticizing themselves and the inept Labour government which was last in power and which had left the UK economy in such a total mess!

Labour back in power in 2015?

Posted by michael on April 1, 2012

Milliband claims that Labour will be back in power in 2015?

Last week they couldn’t even hold one of their strongest constituencies!

The polls might show that Labour is ahead but it is because the Coalition government has to make really difficult economic decisions as a result of the total mess that Labour made of the UK economy in their 14 years of power.

In 2015 we will still be paying back the debts dumped on us by Labour in power. No one will trust Labour and anything they say about economic policies.

The financial pain caused by Labour’s inept policies will still be hurting the voters.

Perhaps dumping every Labour minister who held power in the last government would be a prudent move to make now if Labour want to try to get back into power!

Of course we should by then have broken the links between the Labour party and the Trade Unions. That could give Labour a big funding problem as so much of their money came from the Trade Unions.

What the Conservatives still have to face

Posted by michael on March 21, 2012

People will always remember that New Labour came within an inch of destroying the UK economy.

We see Greece and all its woes and we were so,  so close to that because of the inept (in my view) management of the UK economy by New Labour, Blair and Brown.

The next four or five elections will all take place with the UK in serious debt and unable to spend money on many infrastructure  projects, benefits, pensions, housing etc that we should have because a huge amount of our money will still be going on clearing Labour’s debts.

The debt figures are massive. We still have to pay for many of the new hospitals, schools etc that Labour built on borrowed money. Other projects that Labour undertook need vast amounts of public money to clear the debts. Many of these debts were excluded from the UK debt figures so people would not realise how bad the UK economy actually was!!

It looked good at the time but these debts need to be paid back! And the debts and the interest on the debts are paid back by the taxes we pay!

The slogan ‘there is no money’ will haunt Labour at election times and, hopefully, keep them out of power for a long time. And if people don’t like this forecast just think of what Greece is going through. We were so, so close to going the same way!

The UK is not financing the Eurozone – so what!

Posted by michael on December 10, 2011

So Cameron has not committed the UK to paying billions in order to keep the Euro zone from collapsing into obscurity! Much of the media in the UK has portrayed this as some sort of  political disaster!

But the UK is not a member of  the Euro zone.

Why on earth is it a problem that the UK is not giving £70 million (estimates vary) to the Eurozone to keep it going!!

It seems to me that the UK press simply reports the negative and potential problems of any story because this sort of news is more dramatic and sells mores papers!

Cameron has done the right thing. I think that Labour, judging from their actions whilst in power, would have given the Euro zone anything they asked for!

the May/Clark UK borders scrap

Posted by michael on November 15, 2011

I find the reporting by Sky to be a bit severe on the Home Secretary.

I would expect Labour to present everything in a negative way and totally ignore their own failure to have secure UK borders whilst in power for 14 years! And they did not disappoint me!!

The crux of the matter would seem to be that Clark told his boss that he had exceeded ministerial instructions. That is why his boss (Whiteman) suspended him.

Everything else is smoke and mirrors and political opportunity by Labour.

It is also interesting to have revealed how badly Labour had managed(!) the UK border security whilst they were in power!

Some people are attacking the current government over the UK economy

Posted by michael on October 16, 2011

Some people are attacking the current government over the UK economy. They tend not to mention at all the huge mess that 14 years of Labour has caused the UK.

The trade unions are complaining about the UK economy. Strange that – they obviously expect people not to know the the Trade Unions own the Labour party and are therefore themselves responsible for the awful state of our economy!

Labour even took over with the ‘golden inheritance’ and Labour still spent all the money and left the UK population with massive debts to pay off!

Do people expect the current government to continue to spend money as the last lot did?

I am not well off! Should I keep borrowing and to hell with the consequences?

Should I cheat and steal from people who have got the things that I want? Should I try to con someone else out of their possessions?

Of course some people in the UK are well off. Best of luck to them. I hope they choose to spend their wealth to help others. But it would be wrong to make them do this!

Many people in the UK are suffering because of the actions of the last government. I just hope that we don’t go the way of Greece!!!

What is the BBC REALLY up to?

Posted by michael on September 25, 2011

We really do need an inquiry into how much licence payers money is going into social engineering by the BBC.

They are in a position to influence many aspects of our society and they are making political and social changes that they believe in.

I don’t agree with many things that they have done recently with my, and others, licence fees. They should be forced to ask permission from the public before making changes. This could be done using polls.

I am not sure that I can actually trust their news broadcasts now!

How many items are being reported with a slant that suits the BBC or not broadcasted because they did not agree with what was to be broadcast?
