But I did not expect the Labour party to actually agree!!

Ed Miliband has admitted Labour is to blame for undermining the ethics of British society.

The Labour leader conceded yesterday that the moral decay which David Cameron has blamed for the looting occurred on Tony Blair and Gordon Brown’s watch.

He admitted: ‘We did better at rebuilding the fabric of our country than the ethic of our country.’

But in his most provocative comments on the causes of the riots, Mr Miliband claimed that the mayhem of the last week was partly caused by poverty, an argument already made by his deputy Harriet Harman.

‘We have got to ask why do we have people in our society who feel that the way they can get on and the right thing to do is go and nick the telly, engage in the kind of looting we saw,’ he said. ‘We have got to avoid simplistic answers. There’s a debate some people are starting: is it culture, is it poverty and lack of opportunity? It’s probably both.’

Polls show that the public rejects claims from left-wing politicians that poverty and cuts causes lawbreaking.

One survey this week found that just 8 per cent of voters believe the Government’s cuts were to blame for the riots.

Mr Miliband said the riots showed young people have no ‘sense of right and wrong’ and sought to claim the rioters were the same as bankers. ‘It’s about irresponsibility, wherever we find it in our society.’

They are all responsible for being part of what has probably been the worst Labour government of modern times.

Brown and Darling will take more of the blame and responsibility by virtue of their positions in the government.

But all the senior ministers  have been part of a government which has almost bankrupted the UK, taken us to unnecessary wars and brought our economy to its knees.

What short memories they have!!

How can any of these people have any credibility with any financial policies that they may want to promote.

They are all already tainted with a message of financial failure and will carry this message of failure for the rest of their lives!

I think that the Gordon Brown and New labour campaigning has been quite shameful and cynical.

The insistence of campaigning by scare tactics intended to worry the vulnerable and the elderly will be how history records the New Labour campaign.

There has been a lot of this negative campaigning from New Labour. Even Gordon Brown has been telling people what the Conservatives are going to do rather than being focused on what New Labour propose!

The Libdems have participated in the campaign  much more than normal. There is still the risk that they will be squeezed out by the two main parties, except possibly in marginal seats where tactical voting would seem to be going to take place! It would be good if they replaced New Labour forever as the second party in the UK.

I believe that the UK is in a critical point in its history. The UK is so seriously in debt that we have to get this under control very fast. It is not just the published debt figures. Most of the new schools and hospitals have been built on debt that is accumulated in the Private Finance Initiate (PFI). The PFI debt includes a lot of debt from various sources and is not included in the UK official debt figures.

New Labour took the Golden Inheritance from the last Conservative government and turned it into a recession with the UK so saddled with debts that we will all be paying back the debts for many years to come.

We will all be taxed very heavily to screw more money out of us. We will all have to pay higher prices for everything we buy, including electricity and gas!

The UK is at risk of going the same way as Greece, with our debt getting junk status.

New Labour, that mostly means Gordon Brown, has caused the banking crisis (Brown took away controls on the banks which led to the credit crunch and recession) and has brought the UK to the brink of bankruptcy.

I haven’t even mentioned the wars in Iran and Afghanistan which we should not be involved in!

Labour have failed us, they do not deserve to be in power again.

This indicates that Labour’s internal polling and analysis of voting intentions is showing Labour that they cannot win the election.

It could even be showing that the Labour party is heading for a massive defeat, possibly placing them in third place.

The Labour leaders are panicking big time in telling their people not to vote for them.  Peter Hain is quoted as saying ‘I think it’s important for people to act intelligently in this election‘.

I certainly agree with that and the intelligent option is to throw this lousy government out of office!

It does not surprise me that white-collar ‘boom’ towns in the South have been turned to benefit blackspots under this lousy government.

These towns are truly representative of the way that Brown and Labour have managed the UK economy. They have brought us to the brink of bankruptcy!

It may even be too late to avoid the IMF taking over the running the UK economy.

It looks like Labour are going to be punished by the electorate for their appalling management of the UK.  I don’t want people blaming all politicians in general for the mess that Brown, Blair and Labour have made of the UK! The fault is with Labour and it is Labour that should be punished!

The UK government borrowed £163.4 billion in the financial year ending in March.

Tax receipts have fallen significantly. Too many people are out of work or earning minimum wages that do not attract tax. The Labour government is committed to paying huge public spending bills.

The nation’s borrowing almost doubled from the £96.5 billion cost last year.

Our borrowing is 11.5 per cent of national output (according to the Office for National Statistics).

This should give people an idea of the massive task ahead of us in clearing these debts. Each man, woman and child in the UK now has to find £15,000 each to clear this debt. (Obviously we are not each going to be asked to find £15000! – it is an average).

But, on average, we will pay this money through increased taxes, increased cost of living, new taxes, new and increased charges for everything, possibly 21% VAT, probably more parking regulations and higher fines across the board.

The government will have to get £15000 from each of us on average by hook or by crook.

This is what Brown and New Labour call success! It is what I call failure! How dare Brown adopt a financial policy which is going to hurt so many people over many years. Our government is meant to look after us , not milk us for everything we have got!

The fact that Brown refuses to release the financial data for the UK means several things:

• He is hiding the size of the financial mess that he has put the UK into.
• He is trying to stop the opposition from making their plans for government.

Brown is able to attack the opposition by claiming that they don’t have the finances right. We would not know if the opposition is right or wrong, since we do not know the figures either!

On the other hand we don’t know if Brown is right or wrong, since he does not reveal the figures that his policies are based on!
