It is being said that Blair has returned to help Gordon out.
The man who took us into several wars on very dubious, if not misleading, grounds, and we are still in Afghanistan taking causalities.
So how will Blair help Brown? He is just visiting, I wouldn’t have thought that Blair was going to give up all that money he was earning! He might give encouragement to a few wavering Labour supporters, but nothing has changed regarding the total mess that Brown, and Blair and Labour have made of the UK economy whilst in power.
Do we believe Tony Blair now when he tells us stuff? I don’t. Not since he told us that Iraq could bomb us in 40 minutes!
Blair and Brown – the team that removed the controls over the banks and allowed them to take the risks that led to the credit crunch and the bank failures.
All in all, the presence of Blair will remind us of so much negative stuff about Labour being in power and wars and debt and the near collapse of the UK economy, etc., that most people will not vote for Gordon!

New Labour is STILL trying to blame the woman!!!
This is appalling behaviour by a prime minister! Can he not simply own up to making a mistake?
Does Brown have to go to extreme lengths to prove that he was right after all, even though it was all his fault?
How far will Brown go to blame the woman (and this was one of his lifelong supporters!) for his own arrogant and intemperate behaviour?
It all goes to show how unfit for power Brown is, let alone the Labour party itself – an organisation from the history of the UK with absolutely no relevance in today’s modern society!

The Bank of England Governor Mervyn King is absolutely right. The UK financial mess is huge.
Labour have cynically hidden the true state of the UK’s finances from us during the election campaign.
They are desperate to get back into power so that they can keep the pretence going that that Labour are capable of running the UK economy!
But the huge financial mess that we are in is the best reason of all to dump this lousy government and replace it with a Conservative government.
I would then like to see Cameron going public with the full state of the UK finances. Then we would all know how big the problem (challenge) is for Cameron to deal with.

I still fail to understand how Brown can claim the credit for creating many thousands of new jobs and allowing nearly all of them to be taken by people from outside the UK.
Doesn’t Brown understand that UK citizens need those jobs. If non UK citizens take the jobs then most of the earnings go back to their home country to benefit their government!
This was effectively an investment in a foreign government, not a policy to help the UK.

Labour know the state of the UK economy. They have all the figures available BUT they are not releasing them to the public.
I can only think of one reason for them to do this and that is because the UK is in such a bad financial mess, obviously much worse than we can imagine!!
Otherwise there would be no need to conceal the details of the UK economy from us.
This is the first election I can remember when people do not seem to be bothered about the economic mess that the government of the day has left the UK in! They seem far more concerned about how well the candidates come over on TV!
I find this amazing. The next government could be in power for five years. What they do will effect people’s lives. Yet this election could be about nothing more than looking good on tv.
How dumbed down has the UK become in the last fourteen years?

The independent Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) has blamed the three parties for failing to ‘come clean’ over the massive scale of spending cuts required to get us out of the financial mess the UK is in.
But the IFS needs to allow for the fact that Brown is refusing to share the UK national statistics showing what a bad state the UK is in.
This means the that the opposition parties cannot make firm plans because Labour are hiding the true state of the UK economy from them!

The UK faces the deepest spending cuts since the late 1970s if the three main parties are to meet their budget commitments, according to the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS).
The years between 2011 and 2015 must see the largest cuts since 1976-80.
The IFS study predicts that that the Conservatives would need to make the biggest cuts whilst Labour would make the biggest tax rises.
So we apparently have a big difference between the two main parties. I assume that where services are cut, both parties will do it in a sensible manner by making the services more efficient and by delaying expenditure on computer systems, better offices and increased pay rises!
If you want to pay increased taxes for everything you buy then simply vote Labour. The government will be able to continue spending money anywhere it wants. Effectively this means that people are giving more of their money to the government to spend! The management of the UK economy by Labour over the last 14 years has been lousy. Why should anyone expect their abilities to govern are going to be any better in the future! Would we be in this mess if Labour had governed the UK properly over the last 14 years?
If you want to keep more of your money to spend as you want, then vote Conservative. Their emphasis is on cutting waste . Spending cuts won’t necessarily be any better or worse than under Labour, despite the scare tactics from Labour!
Neither party had given details of their spending cuts.

So the LibDems want to change our Health service?
It looks like they want to break up the tax-funded Health Service and replace it with a social insurance system!!
I believe that means that those who can afford to pay get a better treatment.
So will there be different levels of service? Those with the least insurance have limited treatment, or at least not as good treatment, as those who can afford more.
The French healthcare system is funded by the working population.
Employees pay 20% of their gross salary, the self-employed pay more, all deducted at source.
Fancy being forced to pay 20% of your gross salary??

Front-line staff in the National Health service will have to pay the cost of the NHS budgets cuts. What else can the NHS do? Close hospitals? Sell the beds? They are already selling some of the drugs that patients need!
The NHS bosses will have to cut staff to match their budgets when the money Brown is currently pouring into the NHS dries up. They have no choice.
The problem is that this money pouring into the NHS from Brown and New Labour is borrowed money, it is simply more and more debt for us all to pay back in increased taxes.
Labour have almost bankrupted the UK. There is no money left! We are all going to have to pay extra taxes for years to come. Every child born in our hospitals carries a debt of £17,000 of extra tax that they will have to pay in their lifetime, in addition to all their other taxes!
Gordon Brown and New Labour decided to put us all in massive debt in order to try to buy victory in the election.
As far as I am concerned they have put themselves and their own interests before the interests of the people of the UK. They have saddled us with huge debts for a generation . Do we really want such a selfish and greedy bunch of people running the UK?

So Gordon Brown wants us to concentrate on policy does he?
Does Brown have any policies? All he does at the moment is to tell us to ignore the complete mess of the UK economy and to vote for him because he can fix it.
This is not a strong argument!
If Brown and New Labour could fix the financial problems then why are they not doing this now!
Brown and New Labour caused the credit crunch and all the resulting financial mess.
Brown and New Labour are good at making financial messes. I do not believe for a moment that they are capable of fixing the problems that they have caused!
