Blair the Warmonger as EU president!!

Posted by michael on October 28, 2009

I fail to understand how Blair the Warmonger would even be considered as the EU president!!

All the damage throughout Europe with terrorist attacks and the continual 24×7 risk of further bombings are the result of the UK, headed by Blair and Brown, invading Iraq and Afghanistan.

Blair has caused so much trouble throughout Europe with his apparent natural instinct to invade other countries. People seem to forget that in a fairly short time the UK was involved in THREE wars under Blair as prime minister.

Having Blair as the EU president is not a signal to the rest of the world that the EU is a potential threat to them!

New Labour – an act of treachery?

Posted by michael on October 27, 2009

There is a serious charge facing Blair, Brown and New Labour. There is a possibility that they could they be faced with accusations of betraying the UK?

Were Blair and Brown really prepared to bring in so many foreigners that the white English vote would be in the minority?

Was this all about keeping New Labour in power for generations? Changing the ethnic make up of the UK would change the political landscape and give Labour a built in majority at every election.

Perhaps all New Labour’s useless immigration controls and their failure to send back illegal immigrants were meant to fail. Perhaps they are preparing to legitimise all the illegal immigrants and give them the vote?

Even the BNP would seem to care more for our country than New Labour does!!!!

We need an election and we need it now!

Record recession for UK economy

Posted by michael on October 23, 2009

The UK is now in a record recession, and this is not a good thing.

Some people are doing OK during the recession, in fact those with money can buy houses, businesses etc cheaply. These people are in the minority!

Those without work are really suffering, losing their businesses , their jobs and worse, their houses.

We are now in the worst financial situation since the 1950s.  New Labour have failed completely. Even disregarding the fact that their policies have put us in a dreadful financial situation, it is clear that they have no idea how to get us out of recession. They seem to be simply waiting for an upturn in the economy which can only happen purely by chance!!

We need action now! The government is now simply waiting for next May when they will be rejected by the electorate because of the dreadful way they have managed the economy.

I would like to see Brown put the UK before himself and call an election now so that a government with a mandate from the people can get straight to work fixing our broken economy.

Every day Brown and New Labour stay in power is another day that the UK economy is being damaged.

Question time with Nick Griffin

Posted by michael on October 22, 2009

It seemed that Jack Straw came over worse than Mr. Griffin.

The overall view of the debate seemed to be that the immigration policy of this Labour government was responsible for many of the problems in society that have that led some people to support the BNP.

After 12 years of Labour almost one million people have voted in various elections for the BNP. If we carry on as we are that number will probably increase!

Will Brown lose the support of his MPs?

Posted by michael on October 14, 2009

We may not have reached the end of the expenses row yet!

There are many very upset MPs including many Labour MPs. These Labour MPs are very upset with Brown!

With the woeful showing of Brown in the polls, I would not be surprised if another challenge to Brown’s leadership emerges in the next few months.

If this does occur, then I suspect that Brown will not get the support of enough Labour MPs again. Revenge will be sweet, especially if it improves Labour’s standing in the polls!

MP’s expenses – investigator reports results and recommendations

Posted by michael on October 12, 2009

I like the way that Gordon Brown could not even organise an investigation that would keep him in the clear!

Why would he give the investigator the right to change the expenses rules retrospectively with the result that MPs who had followed the rules and been in the clear were now branded as cheats and thieves?

Most enquiries of this sort recommend changes of the rules that need to be introduced! And then everybody follows the recommendations!

This is a serious political mistake by Brown. He has inflamed the voters of this country against all politicians and MPs. What is he up to?

Cameron would have handled the situation very much better!!

selling the family silver?

Posted by michael on October 11, 2009

According to the BBC reports Gordon Brown is to announce plans to raise £16bn to help the economy by selling local and central government assets.

But plans for selling them are not enough! Anyone can sell assets, especially if the price is cheap!!

We need to know the costs incurred on these assets and how much has been spent developing them. Otherwise we will not know if this is actually a good thing to do OR if we are gaining some cash and losing a fortune

Education – children can stay at home!

Posted by michael on October 10, 2009

Children will be able to choose to go to school part-time under plans unveiled by Ed Balls the Children’s Secretary. He is allowing kids to only have to attend school for certain lessons. He expects their parents to ensure they received the rest of their education at home!

Looks to me like education on the cheap!

I would guess that this initiative is to get as many children out of the schools so they they can use the spaces for other children. Saves them from building new schools or expanding existing schools!

Does this initiative really come from a government which is forcing ALL under 18s to go back to school? Quote from Ed Ball’s website:

‘Take our commitment to fund a place at school, college or in training for every 16- and 17-year-old who wants one.

Not much of a commitment if the kids (of all ages) can choose to stay at home!!!

But how many parents are actually at home during the day now? Can children really stay away from school to work at home if there are no parents there.

They won’t be able to have other adults (other than family members) care for the children because that would then be a school and need all sorts of red tape including registering to prove that the helpers are not sex offenders!

Another real issue is that the school buses only operate at certain times of the day. Children cannot necessarily get into school to attend these ‘certain lessons’ during the day that Balls talks about. And then how do they get home? New Labour strategists do not seem to have thought of that!

There is of course the possibility that this is being used to attack parents who genuinely and sincerely educate their children at home already! This may be an attempt to force these people to send their children into school for these ‘certain lessons’. Could this work? Home-educated children are not necessarily following the same curriculum as the state schools. This stands every chance of disrupting the whole home-education process.

The chances are that these ‘certain lessons’ will not be maths, science, English etc. It will be really interesting to see which ‘certain lessons’ that New Labour propose as mandatory. I bet that it will be the social, religious and lifestyle lessons.

I really do get the impression that no one in Labour really knows what is going on, that the ship is rudderless! Or they are not being open about what they are trying to do!

UK energy – a disaster in the making?

Posted by michael on October 9, 2009

There is a potential disaster heading our way over the next 10 years.

There has been a lot of talk recently about an energy ‘gap’ around 2016. What that means to the ordinary person is that there will be shortages of electricity at peak periods.

Why? Because the investment is not in place for our increasing demand for electricity to be met.

A contract was very recently agreed for four new, latest generation nuclear power stations. All very good but at least three years too late! The first station is due to be operating in 2018. That is if everything goes well and the planning permissions don’t spend years in the courts being granted!

Another aggravating factor is that a number of UK coal and oil power stations are due to be decommissioned by the end of 2015.

New fossil fuel power stations (mostly coal) are needed but global warming and climate change concerns means that they should only be operating with carbon capture technology – which isn’t available yet!

Note that a number of fossil fuel power stations are needed by 2015 just to stand still, ie to replace old stations going out of service .

Renewable energy sources are promising. Wind farms are producing electricity now, and more are due to be built. But wind farms only operate when there is wind! The fossil fuel and nuclear stations can be turned down when energy from renewable sources is available, but the fossil fuel and nuclear stations will have to be able to meet the peak demand for electricity on their own!

Businesses and private homes can do a lot by using electricity efficiently and avoiding heat loss through insulation etc but the real problem is in generating electricity efficiently.

The government has the job to ensure that the lights do not go out. At this moment of time it would seem that they are failing in their responsibilities!

No sign of Political Correctness amongst the Socialists

Posted by michael on October 7, 2009

There is a real attempt going on in the media, particularly the BBC, to belittle the Conservative leadership because of their background and upbringing.

This would not be allowed if it was attacking people on the basis of race, colour, gender or sexual orientation!!

But the BBC are happy to allow attacks on the Conservatives based on their backgrounds.

Yet the background and wealth and upbringing of the Conservative leadership is generally similar to the background of the Labour leadership.

(I seem to remember that a previous Conservative leader is the only leader of the main parties who did not attend private or public school)

Are the Labour leadership so bereft of policies that they are encouraging these attacks based on class??

I expect it from the BBC. I am surprised that the Labour leadership dare use this tactic as they are all from similar backgrounds themselves.

Ability is the main difference between the leadership of the two main parties.  That is how Brown took the Golden Inheritance and turned it into a huge debt that will take many years of austerity by the ordinary people of the UK to pay off!
