Baroness Scotland is showing a staggering disrespect for the law of the UK. She can have absolutely no excuse for making this sort of mistake, she must have understood this particular law in detail, it seems that she was responsible for drafting it!!
What does bother me is her attitude to being caught breaking the law. She seems to think that it is a joke, shows no contrition at all.
Comparing it to failing to pay the congestion charge is offensive. She has even claimed that all she has done is to forget to file a piece of paper. The fact that the piece of paper does not exist because the employee was an illegal worker is an attempt to mislead us all.
She should have gone for breaking the law, she should certainly now go for the contemptuous attitude she has towards being caught breaking the law!

If Ed Balls can simply cut £2 billion off the schools budget WITHOUT affecting:
- the safety of the children,
- the way that the schools are run
- and the education that they receive
then the following question must be asked.
Mr. Balls. Why are you spending that £2 billion each year when you are now saying that it was not necessary.
This is our taxes you are apparently wasting!

What a great little statement this is. As far as I am concerned it actually means absolutely nothing, unless the people using it define exactly what their forecasts are!
One thing is for sure. The figures are as bad, or are worse, than they expected!
How can I be sure of this? Because it is 99.9% certain that if today’s figures were better than the forecasts, these spokespeople would be saying ‘Today’s figures are better than our budget forecasts’, even if it was only one penny better.

The news today that leaked documents show that Brown was planning ‘near’ 10% cuts throughout government departs whilst attacking Cameron as ‘Mr 10%’ shows, in my view, a lack of integrity!
Being truthful is as much about the impression that one give. As I have said before, people can lie and tell the truth at the same time. It is simply a question of selecting the truths in order to give the wrong impression.
Brown can attack Cameron for being ‘Mr 10%’ and be planning, near 10% cuts himself. The words used are truthful but the impression given is false. To attack Cameron for doing, almost, exactly the same thing as Brown was planning to do is cynical and, in my view, lacking integrity.
I think that more and more people are realising that New Labour cannot be trusted and that they seem unable to actually govern the country in a way that looks after the interests of the people of the UK.
I get the distinct impression that they are only interested in looking after themselves!

Gordon Brown has finally acknowledged that spending cuts will be needed as a result of 12 years of New Labour!
The UK need spending cuts.
But we have had to wait until Brown reached the stage where he has accepted that he has to act to protect the people of the UK.
This period of denial that spending cuts are necessary is because New Labour were putting themselves before the needs of the country.

Mandelson seems to be leading the attempt by New Labour to show the electorate that they are wise, competent stewards of the UK’s finances.
He is out campaigning for New Labour and Brown (a thankless task if there ever was one!)
He has said that New Labour should be ’wise spenders, not big spenders’. What a shame that they have failed to understand that over the last 12 years!
Despite this being a 1997 election pledge that they have completely failed to honour.
There is clearly no reason to trust ANY promises they make in the run up to the next election.
Who can trust New Labour now?

We should have a national debate on the scandal of local councils being able to use monetary fines to effectively enslave people to do as they are told.
There hasn’t even been a vote in Parliament for these rules which will have such an impact on our lives.
Perhaps we are seeing why we need our MPs to be focused on all these changes that are rapidly being foisted on us without our consent! They are worth five times their current salaries if they are able to stop some of the abuses that are being used to control us now.
New Labour sneak through too many law changes that seriously impact our lives without a national debate, and more importantly, without a vote.
Yes we need to bring in legislation to cover waste disposal, recycling, climate change etc.
But what is happening at the moment under this government is that our society is becoming like Iraq, North Korea and other countries where the government totally dominates the population through fear.
Please don’t tell me that £5000 fines under the fly tipping legislation is not using fear to control the people!!
It is an absolute disgrace that fly tipping laws are applied to the regular household bin collections. This is not what should happen in a free society. But Blair and Brown have shown over the years that we are not in a free, democratic society!

So New Labour think that they are being clever by cutting costs and not services.
For example the NHS costs are people such as doctors, nurses, cleaners, laundry etc. and, of course, drugs, operations, intensive care beds, specialists etc.
These are the costs of the NHS. Every time the NHS provides a service to someone there is a cost involved.
So if New Labour cut costs then by definition they are not providing a service.
If New Labour cut the costs, then they are cutting the services!!!!!!!

The reason why we are under a continual threat of being bombed and having passenger jets blown up is that Blair, Brown and Bush went to war against Iraq and Afghanistan.
Gordon Brown is claiming that our troops are fighting in Afghanistan in order to stop the threat of terrorism in the UK.
He is right! But his actions in the first place are the reason why we now have to deal with this threat against us. But the consequences of going to war against any country is that the people of that country will fight back!
What does Gordon Brown think that victory in the war in Afghanistan means. I don’t remember ever hearing him define what he thinks that beating the taliban actually means.
I have heard Brown saying that his intention is to train the Afghan government troops to carry on the war against the taliban themselves. But this is not going to stop the attacks against the UK and UK interests around the world. It simply gets our soldiers out of Afghanistan.
Getting peace for the UK and the USA means that all extremists, mostly Islamic, are prepared to stop bombing us at home and abroad.
It is possible that there is no way of getting peace in the war against terrorism. Brown, Blair and Bush have opened Pandora’s box. We cannot put the lid back on.
I think that the actions of these three leaders have cursed the world for a very long time. They will not go down in history in any other terms!
(In Greek mythology, Pandora’s box is the large jar carried by Pandora that unleashed many evils on mankind – ills, toils and sickness – and hope. (source: Wikipedia)

International finance ministers are meeting in London today to find way to curb excessive bank bonuses.
Gordon Brown has been the chancellor and then the Prime Minister for more than 12 years.
He turned the ‘Golden Inheritance’ of the Conservatives into a recession and left us with huge debts for the many years to come.
Why does he think that his opinion on financial matters is of any value? Except perhaps as a warning of what not to do!
